The World Carpfishing Championship 2015 is over. The finale was somewhat unexpected. In general, based on the pace of
many teams’ fishing, it could be assumed that one or two fish can change the position of the team in the table. So it happened with our team: the two in zone C (Shikhotarov / Lipsky) fished carp over 13 kg weight, which raised the entire team to 10th place in the final protocol. We sincerely congratulate Lviv carp club on a worthy performance. The main victories are yet to come.
The first place was saved by the British. Second place for Croats, third – Serbia. They also caught the biggest fish of the championship weighing over 25 kg. Large fish (20+ and 19+) were also caught by England and Spain. The new world
champion in individual competition was Bogdan Dragan, who used to win silver and gold medals in this tournament. And 4
times he won the championship of his country. This is a skill that you can admire.
In general, great dynamics of fishing in the championship was not noticed. Some teams remained with zero. This year, the World Cup was held on a wild pond, which certainly made its adjustments in fishing. Now we will wait for news, analysis of events and reports from our competitors.
