How to fish carp in winter? What bait and boilies use?

It may sound strange how to fish carp in winter? But both in winter and in summer carp is at the same place. In summer the fish is looking for coolness there while in winter the water in such areas is slightly warm.

Furthermore, the food supply is better there. Not only holes and valleys can be suitable for fishing but also nearby entries and exits from the deep end. When the pond is unknown to you, don’t look for carp only in the deep water. Fish choose not only a comfortable place but also secure. The best options for them will be overgrown bodied with water, sunken boats, crashed bridges. If the depth there is more than 2 meters, there is a strong possibility that you will find fish. Atmospheric pressure also influences winter fishing because when the pressure is high, there is more fish in the upper layer of water. To catch the trophy carp, you can use the ball of breadcrumbs fried in butter, 10- 20 grains of pearl barley or corn like a homemade bait. Among branded lure, you can use only those that do not have a sharp, strong smell.

Bait

The best baits for catching winter carp are traditionally bloodworms, dowry, bark beetle and caddis flies. Domesticated carp and river carp usually take such nozzles. River carp, as a rule, does not refuse to eat marine molluscs. Carp can also be caught using other fish. But, since these attachments can attract not only carp, it is worth trying to hunt with a boilie.

Boilie

You can catch carp with boilies. Boilies are balls made from flour, flavouring, egg powder and other elements unusual for fish. The components are boiled, dried, and then used for attachment or complementary feeding. Boilies can be bought or prepared by yourself. To make them more attractive, we use flavours such as cod liver oil, various flavour enhancers. To make them more interested in fish, they are coloured with food colours. If you cook boilies at home, then you can make them of different shapes, and then find out which are the best. Boilies are also used to fish on the bottom.

Fishing carp with a spoon bait

Carp can be caught on a fishing rod with a side nod and a spoon bait. Don’t choose a short bow. The diameter of the monofilament line when fishing for spoon bait should be from 0.12 mm to 0.16 mm. The substantial thickness of the fishing line scares the fish. If you use a braid, the diameter will be less than 0.8 and 0.1 mm with the same breaking load. Tactics and wiring techniques
